Big E’s Week 5 Final Thoughts:
The Broncos are still the best team in the NFL. The Saints and Chiefs also both stayed undefeated and the Seattle Seahawks lost their first game of the season against the Colts. There’s really nothing interesting to say about the bottom three teams, the Jaguars continue to be awful, the Giants are just as bad, their defense is terrible–yes, even worse than the Eagles’.
Tony Romo choked again (“Shocker”). Ironically, he was having a career day against the Denver Broncos–in fact, the best game of his career– and yet he threw his only interception late in the fourth quarter giving the ball back to Peyton Manning and the Broncos. Manning then proceeded to lead them down field where Matt Prater kicked the game-winning field goal as time expired. Even with super-human numbers, Romo found a way to blow the game,
The most disappointing team is the Atlanta Falcons who lost their fourth game to the New York Jets at home on Monday Night Football. The Falcons only lost three games last season–their total after five games so far in 2013.
Trends:
Biggest Winner: New York Jets (+9) {#25 to #16}
Biggest Loser: Atlanta Falcons (-10) {#13 to #23}
